Parent & Community Involvement

We are extremely fortunate to have such a supportive parent community. Key groups within our school include our School Advisory Committee, Friends of the School organisation and our Class Parents system.

Our School Council

Our School Council, established under section 32 of the Hong Kong Education Ordinance, is required to ensure that our school is managed satisfactorily and that the education of students is promoted in a proper manner.  Our School Council communicates with our school community through the School Supervisor or Principal.

Friends of the School

All families are obliged to join the Friends of the School organisation. We request an annual flat fee subscription from each family every year to cover the cost of the development of our school telephone directory, refreshments at school event evenings and morning teas. We are fortunate to have a very active Friends of the School group, the function of this group is to coordinate four community functions each year and to support new parents joining our school community

Class Parents

Class Parents are volunteers who act as the link between the class teacher and the Friends of the School. The role of the Class Parent is to help in the organisation of Friends of the School events that require parent participation. Fulfilling this responsibility often requires working with other class parents and generating support. Teachers may also ask Class Parents for assistance from time to time. Class teachers will call for class parent volunteers early in the school year.

Alongside our class parents, we welcome the generosity, enthusiasm and support of our parent community in general who consistently give of their time to support our school in its endeavours.
