This area of our school provides specialised staff and resourcing to help meet the varied learning needs of our students. Thorough assessment, tailor made programmes of support and a team approach between staff, students and families result in quality targeted support for identified students.
Overview
Our Targeted Support Group incorporates a range of specialised mechanisms to assist our students and staff. Our focus is practical, determined and caring - we want to help our students to be the best they can and to feel good about their achievements.
Literacy Support
The school has adopted a number of proven literacy support interventions in order to further enhance the development of our students literacy skills. Our highly trained team of teachers and education assistants run a number of interventions in phonics work, reading, writing, handwriting and spelling which are incorporated in class work, small group work and 1-1 support.
