Our Primary campus caters for students from Year 1 to Year 6. We will begin the 2008 / 2009 school year with 24 Primary classes. Class numbers are carefully monitored ensuring that appropriate student teacher ratios are maintained at an optimum number of one teacher to 24 students.
Along with the provision of our internationally qualified and experienced classroom teachers, education assistants have been appointed to assist in the classrooms. Our Year 1 classes have a full time education assistant assigned to each class. Year 2 classes each have an education assistant assigned to assist during the morning programmes. Year 3 - 6 each have education assistants assigned across respective year group classes, supporting the morning programmes.
Our Primary campus offers a spacious playground, designed to cater for all age groups. There are areas for active play, apparatus to climb as well as quiet and shady areas to sit in to read. Our school has full use of the newly resurfaced community pitch that adjoins the school to further provide for physical education and play opportunities.
The Primary campus facilities include our newly built Discovery Centre, a state of the art complex that accommodates a superb library and resource centre, two extensive music and drama suites along with separate practice rooms and an adjoining performing arts centre, two fully equipped information and communication technology (ICT) suites and a multi media development and recording studio, a science laboratory and design technology centre, an art studio, an all weather gymnasium and our reception area and administrative offices.
