Year 10 news
RockMob and the North East Asian Mathematics Successes.
As you will have seen and heard, the talents of our Year 10 students were front and centre during Hong Kong’s first ever RockMob at the beginning of February. A huge thanks to Team RockMob for organising, to the individuals and institutions that were kind enough to donate their equipment and time, and of course to all 210 rock stars. The video is available at here, please continue to like and share.
Four of our very best Year 10 Mathematics students attended the three-day showdown at the North East Asian Mathematics Competition (NEAMC) hosted by Dulwich College Seoul and Seoul International School in South Korea. Cynthia Aarons, Frederick Fung and Callum Henderson represented DBIS with distinction - and hearty congratulations to Micah Zirkelbach, who returned triumphant with a bronze medal.
A massive thanks in advance to all of the Year 10 students who have signed up to assist in this year's International Food Fair. The most anticipated community event in the Discovery Bay social calendar will be showcasing student-led performances and culinary delights from across the globe on Saturday, 10th March.
Teachers are currently writing full strength target reports, which will be available on the parent portal on 20th March. Should there be any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
