A wide range of day trips, sporting and cultural events, overnight camps, international trips and more ...
During the school year, your child will be expected to participate in field trips either within Discovery Bay or, in more senior classes, to Hong Kong or Kowloon.
A picnic is a field trip to a Nursery child, so we begin early. Our Year 5 classes attend two camps while our Year 6 classes attend one camp and go on a trip into China. These events present a range of wonderful opportunities for our students to participate in new and exciting experiences and to have plenty of fun along the way. Excluding the Year 5 to Year 7 overnight visits and camps, travel and entrance costs for all other trips and visits, including sports tournaments and cultural trips, are met by our school.
Our Secondary School excursions build on the experiences gained during each students Primary School years. This year will see our Secondary students traveling to Northern Thailand in the first term. They will also participate in day trips to the local area around Discovery Bay and in Hong Kong. These events are planned to promote independence, responsibility, investigative skills, communication and team work in conjunction with current contexts of study.
Organised speakers visit our school throughout the year. These visits provide insight into topical issues while promoting discussion and further investigation.
