Nihao! Welcome to Kindergarten Mandarin! This Gu Lao Shi. I am from China. I have been teaching Mandarin for 2 years in DBIS. This year I am going to teach Mandarin in Kindergarten. I am looking forward to having a wonderful and fruitful year introducing Mandarin to the Nursery classes and building on last year’s learning for the Reception classes. I hope the children will begin to share their knowledge of Mandarin with you at home. What's going on in Kindergarten Mandarin?
Our very first topic of the year will be “Greeting”. The students are expected to greet the teacher properly with “Gu Lao Shi, nin hao!” and to be able to greet anyone else with “ni hao”. More details are coming up soon.
