What's in our treasure box??
18th May, 2012
This week, we made mascots from China, Great Britain and Greece. The children worked very well in teams of 6 or 7 to decide what kind of traditions they wanted their mascots to represent. For China, they chose to make a flying dragon with gold and yellow colours, a laise packet, a firecracker, some chopsticks and some fire. For Great Britain, the children made a dog and gave him a cup of tea, a British flag, a bagpipe and a tartan skirt! For Greece, they mde Zeus the god and gave him a greek flag, a greek salad and made a laurel for his hair.
Today was our exit point and the children had a great time! They looked fabulous in their toga and went around different activities with children and teachers from different classes. They learned some greek language and dancing, they did a relay race, they made laurels, torches or flags, they ate greek food and they listened to a greek myth story.
The end of our OLYMPIC topic is here and now we are looking forward to our next and last topic: TREASURE.
If you can provide any of the followings to enhance our learning, it would be much appreciated:
Have a great weekend and enjoy the new pictures!
