Empress Blaze Moon: Local author (and DBIS parent) Karmel Schreyer has a new, 56-page, beautifully-illustrated children's book just out entitled Empress Blaze Moon: A Story About Never Giving Up ($88). In order to make a donation to World Vision for Haiti Earthquake relief, Karmel will donate 20 Hong Kong dollars for every book purchased directly. Contact Karmel at 91981799 or . Animal Adoption Day: On Sunday 31st Jan, the animal society PALS (Protection of Animals Lantau South) will be holding another of its successful animal adoption days at the Gazebo of the DBIS car park. The event runs from 12 – 1:20 pm and gives you a chance to meet some of their animals and to decide if you could offer a permanent or temporary home to one of them. See you there!
