DBIS offers a comprehensive range of extra curricular activities for Early Years, Primary and Secondary students.
DBIS is now using a Activites Management system called CHQ which will make signing your children up for ECAs much easier.
You will need to use your Parent Portal username and password to get into the system. Either parent can sign their child up to activities.
The schedule for registering ECAs is as follows:
Monday 3 December - Tuesday 4 December
Parents and students will be able to view the schedule of activities on CHQ but cannot sign up at this point.
Wednesday 5 December - Sunday 9 December
Parents and students will be able to register their preferences for their Term 2 ECAs (See Notes)
Monday 10 December - Wednesday 12 December
The school will process the sign up information
Thursday 13 December
Parents will be able to login into CHQ to view the ECAs that their child is successfully registered for
The login to the CHQ system can be found on the front page of the Parent Portal, in the bulletin sent out to inform parents of sign-up and here:
You may find the following Guide to CHQ useful: LINK.
We also request that you complete a Consent Form for each child taking part in an activity. You do not need to complete a Consent Form if you have already completed one for your child within this academic year.
Details regarding times, ECA content and staff is attached to each ECA schedule however for this transition period whilst people get used to the new system we are leaving the existing guides below.

We have a legacy of excellence in sport at DBIS and we are committed to offering an extensive, year-round program ranging from participation for fun and recreation to regional and international competitions.
Whatever the season, we aim to provide a rich variety of sports for our students led by our experienced and dedicated coaches.
We have a comprehensive Creative Arts Extra-curricular program which provides students with a variety of musical experiences and well as performance opportunities within DBIS and the greater community. The aim of the program is to offer students a breadth of activities aimed to hone into students personal engagement and enquiry needs.
Within the Extra Curricular Creative Arts Program Guide with Schedule you will find the timetables for Primary and Secondary alongside information about each club.
DBIS offers a wide range of other clubs such as computing, gardening, homework and subject-based clubs.
To find out more please read the Extra Curricular Activities and Clubs Guide (update in progress) where you will find the full range of clubs on offer and the timetables for Primary and Secondary.
Outdoor ECAs are weather dependent and to ensure the safety of our students, DBIS will cancel outdoor activities in the case of inclement weather.
If the Hong Kong Observatory issues a Thunderstorm Warning or Amber, Red or Black Rainstorm Warning all outdoor ECAs will be cancelled. In addition to these warnings, DBIS may also take the decision to cancel outdoor ECAs if there is heavy localised rain.
If the Air Quality Index is above 150, all outdoor ECAs will also be cancelled.
A bulletin will be posted on the Parent Portal and a student notice added to Moodle by 06:30am for Before School activities and before midday for all After School activities.
Coaching staff will be on location for Before School activities in case any students turn up. Coaches will ensure that any students in attendance will have a safe place to stay until conditions improve.
