What's Been Happening in Reception
The children returned refreshed and full of news from their half term break.
It was wonderful to hear about their adventures and feel the energy around our Early Years Campus.
We have had a jam-packed and fun-filled two weeks. The children enjoyed sharing their holiday news within their class when they returned and enjoyed creating holiday pictures to show this using their phonic knowledge to label and even attempt to write sentences.
We have been exploring positional language as we have read ‘Rosie’s Walk’, sung ‘Where’s the Monkey’ and even designed our very own construction structures to practise using positional language.
As we entered Halloween week we have had an optional dress up day, which the children thoroughly enjoyed! We have had lots of potion making, rhyming ingredients, measuring, mixing and counting.
We had a very exciting adventure up to the main school where we revisited the ‘leap van’ from Nursery where we met Mr Calvin and Harold the Giraffe! The children loved finding out about our senses and how our body processes information alongside talking about healthy foods and a balanced diet.
Please continue to send in payment in a named envelope by next week for our Father Christmas theatre trip that will commence on the 29th November.
