What's Been Happening in Year 2
In Year 2 we have been learning all about money and measurements over the past few weeks and have enjoyed our hands-on homework tasks.
We have recently moved onto multiplication and look forward to showing you how well we can perform our rolling times tables.
In English we have been writing a shared version of Welcome Home Bear. We are looking forward to writing our own version of the story at the end of this week. Y2ES will be performing their class version of the story in the final assembly of 2018 next week.
Last week, we went with Year 1 and Reception to the theatre to see Father Christmas by Raymond Briggs. It was a lovely show and made us all feel very festive. We’re very excited for the last week of term next week! We are going to watch the Year 1 dress rehearsal of ‘Whoops-a-Daisy Angel' on Monday and our Christmas party and shared lunch is on Tuesday. Please remember that we need to come wearing our party clothes and bring in our shared lunch item by 12.00pm. We also need to bring a reusable plate, cup and some cutlery.
Please also remember that it is our open morning next Wednesday. You are invited to come and have a look at our work from 8.35 - 9.00am.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
