Pastoral & Wellbeing

The wellbeing of our students is of paramount importance in EYFS to ensure that they have the secure foundations to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow.

Children learn independence and resilience through positive relationships with their teachers and peers. We encourage this by supporting their efforts and celebrating their achievements.

Our EYFS students grow into respectful, thoughtful and effective communicators. They adapt to situations around them and cooperate to complete tasks. In addition, students flourish and gain confidence by achieving set personal goals, leading to greater belief in their abilities.

Woven into the daily provision of pastoral care is recognising that children are born ready, eager and able to learn. However, development is not always a smooth process. Therefore, we identify and assist those students who require additional support and guidance.

Onsite specialist nurses support the health of our EYFS students, providing not only for their medical needs but also promoting an understanding of healthy lifestyle choices.

Transitions at the end of each year are carefully planned, and children have the opportunity to visit their new classes and new class teachers in the summer term.
